Hi, I’m Mary
I’m a full time food videographer, photographer, and blogger.
Hi, my name is Mary! I’m a food videographer, photographer, and blogger. I founded flouringkitchen.com in 2020 and learned how to take photos through courses and learning from my peers. At the time, social media just started to transition to short videos – Instagram reels, YouTube shorts, and tiktoks just started to overtake the industry.
I began by taking simple, overhead videos with my phone, then decided to finally take advantage of the video capabilities on my camera.
Confession: as soon as I picked up my camera for videos,
I regretted not doing it earlier.
My videos began to rank in a significant amount of views, my social media audience grew, and I began to really love and improve my videography. Because I was finally seeing results!
Currently, I’m able to stand out in the community, show my personality, drive a significant amount of traffic to my blog. AND score more brand deals.
MORE ABOUT MEEquipment
The only thing you really need to start taking this course is a camera with video capabilities. However, I go into a great deal of depth into the equipment that I use and what equipment is currently on the market – and why you might want to use it. This includes cameras, lenses, artificial lighting, microphones, and software. So you don’t have to feel as overwhelmed as I did when shopping around.
Filming
From brainstorming a storyline to setting up and turning on the camera – I go through every single step with you. This also includes understanding your audience, natural & artificial lighting, camera settings, angles, audio, and…
how to be comfortable behind and in front of the camera.
Editing
Bring your vision to life with editing! I go through everything you need to know to really make your storytelling POP in post. Learn how to zoom in and out, pan around, use proxies, color grading, manipulate and add audio, how to create an impactful voiceover, and export settings. Grab a cup of coffee, turn on some music, and watch your story come to life.
Whether you’re looking to upgrade your social media game, increase your revenue, or even open a new stream of income of client work – this course will teach you everything you need to know.
